Shewaz Mustafa Ismail, an accomplished scholar, holds a master's degree in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, from the University of Kurdistan Hawler, and a bachelor's degree in English Language from Salahaddin University. Since 2013, she has been an integral part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing significantly to the Directorate of Equalizing Foreign Certifications. Her multifaceted roles encompassed tasks ranging from converting European marks to the Iraqi percentage scale to active involvement in certification processes.
Within the Ministry, Shewaz demonstrated her adaptability, problem-solving prowess, and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure. Her administrative finesse extended to writing official letters and strategic planning. These soft skills, coupled with her critical thinking abilities, position her as a dynamic force within the academic sphere.
In 2020, Shewaz added a teaching chapter to her journey at Qala University College, where she passionately imparted knowledge for a semester. Modules on morphology and linguistics showcased not only her academic depth but also her prowess in effective communication and engagement.
Transitioning to her current role as the head of the English Language Department at Nobel Technical Institute since September 2023, Shewaz brings a comprehensive skill set. Alongside instructing second-stage students in innovative pedagogy and short stories, she demonstrates linguistic fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic. Her proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, adds a technological edge to her academic repertoire.
