Department of Nursing (NU) – Noble Technical Institute – Erbil

Introduction to the department:

The Nursing departments (NU) in the Noble institute are one of the recent departments. NU opened in 2019. NU of Noble institute is the first private institute to apply the bologna process in its educational program which is the most advanced learning program globally. Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and 
quality of life. Nurses may be differentiated from other health care providers by their approach to patient care, training, and scope of practice.

Vision:

Noble Institute’s vision is to Provide the Kurdistan region community with a high qualified professional nurses care and who are unique on national and international levels. Sharing in an enhancement of children’s, Adult’s and old age health through the application of nursing education, care and research in all fields.

Mission:

The Nursing department, Nobel Institute prepares his/her graduate to be competent, skillful and creative in delivering the needed nursing care for healthy and sick children from birth to adolescents and then Adult’s in different settings. These are derived from recent national and international nursing strategies within the framework of Islamic beliefs and moral values.

Nursing department objective:

The nursing department aims to graduate skillful and active nursing staff to provide nursing care to individuals in our society. Introducing new nursing specialties based on the local and regional health needs for undergraduate and graduate levels within accordance with
the accreditation standards for these programs. Develop the student’s skills of logical and analytical thinking while providing nursing care for their patients. motivate faculty members to participate in scientific research through the formation of research teams with the participation of students Motivate faculty members to participate in local, regional and international conferences. Cooperate with the health organizations in the provision of care to the local community through health education seminars and free health screening days.

Internship:

Nursing department /Nobel Institute plans to place the students in an internship program with the private hospitals and schools in the region, as a practical experience in their field during the course and in the summer training.

Laboratories:

The Nursing department/Nobel Institute have Laboratory training in the educational program. The following laboratories as the first phase of comprehensive laboratory infrastructure.

• Paediatric Nursing Lab
• Anatomy and physiology Lab
• Biology and Chemistry Lab
• Computer Lab 

According to the department program:

In year 1 first module the student will receive all related basic medical information, fundamentals of nursing, biochemistry, anatomy, Kurdology, Medical terminology, academic debate
In year 1 second module the student will receive human physiology, medical microbiology, ethic and safety, computer skill
In year 2 first module as well as being introduced to the field of Adult nursing, maternity nursing and human growth and development, community nursing, pharmacology will develop a wider knowledge of health and social care practice and the underpinning life sciences.
In year 2-second module pediatric nursing, psychiatric and mental health, internship and final students project.

Today the peoples try to save their health, they pay for their health, the best and professional people who can provide personal, and family care are nurses, home care management for handicapped individuals, the chronic conditions being increased daily, Nurses can provide a high quality of home care. Nurses can earn money, have more opportunities to get jobs. There are an infinite number of business idea combinations that will complement the nursing degree. Startup a Nursing Practitioner clinic.  Recruiting agency. Home health agency. Because of that, the Nobel Institute/ NU department will try in advance to make a standard nursing profession who is holding a diploma in NU.
