Introduction

The MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNIQUES (MLT) is one of Nobel Technical Institute departments. It is established at 2020. The programs of the department qualify the students to become Medical Laboratory Technicians to assist the laboratory physicians in the field of Microbiology, hematology, biochemistry and serology

The responsibilities of a medical laboratory technician included:

•  Conducting analyses of bodily fluids.
•  Maintaining medical laboratory equipment.
•  Analyzing test results.
•  Collecting samples from patients.

Medical laboratory technicians perform general tests related to microbiology, immunology, histopathology, chemistry, hematology and blood banking. MLT’s may perform laboratory testing in many clinical settings such as hospitals, primary health care centers, reference laboratories, clinics, and the bioscience industry.

Students who finish their studies in two years will get a diploma (laboratory assistant) and be eligible to work in the Ministry of Health, Ministry of higher education and Ministry of Defense medical department and in the private sector.

Mission:

To produce medical laboratory technologists and clinical laboratory scientists who are equipped with basic and advanced diagnostic techniques, who after successfully completing their training, would be able to work effectively in medical laboratories and manage health laboratories, thereby promoting the innovation and utilization of assays for diagnosis, monitoring and prevention of diseases.

Our vision is to be the best medical laboratory technology to graduate highly skilled, competent, and professional lab technologists.

Medical Laboratory Tech. Department is determined and committed to carrying out the following objectives:

• To graduate professionals who effectively collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

• To provide medical laboratory testing services with the applicable standards to satisfy the expectation of customers.

• To ensure that all the laboratory personnel is familiarized and comply with the documented quality system and competent in performing their assigned duties.

• To ensure that all equipment related to the testing activities is properly maintained and monitored.

• To provide a conducive and safe working environment.
